BCC United, WCC register big wins in NPL T20

JAMMU, Dec 1: BCC United and WCC registered big victories over their rivals today in the ongoing Nagrota Premier League (NPL) T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Team Jammu at Khel Gaon Nagrota, near here.
The tournament which is being held under the slogan ‘Say no to drugs and yes to sports’, with an objective to involve youth in sports activities and help them not to derail from the mainstream, is being held under the overall supervision of chief organiser, Naveen Koul.
In the first match, WCC thrashed Udhampur Club by 138 runs.
Batting first, WCC scored 200 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process, while Udhampur Club in return bundled out for paltry total of 62 runs, thus lost the match by 138 runs.
In another match, BCC United defeated Latti Cricket Club by 95 runs.
Batting first, BCC scored a good total of 192 runs, while in reply, Latti Cricket Club managed to score 97 runs, thus lost the match by 95 runs.
The matches were officiated by Anil Langeh and Sachin Singh.
Dinesh Anthal, Tehsildar Nagrota was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, while social activists Col Raina, Ashwani Khajuria, Subhash Kumar Shastri and Krishan Gopal Sharma were the guests of honour.
It is pertinent to mention here that 12 teams are taking part in this tournament which is being played on league cum knock-out basis.
