JAMMU, Feb 25: Trouncing Udhaymaan Cricket Club in a thrilling contest in the summit clash, Bum Bum Bhole (BBB) Cricket Club lifted the title trophy of the Shaheed Udhaymaan Singh Cricket Tournament 2017-18 at Bhalwal, here today.
Udhaymaan Cricket Club scored 165 runs, while Bum Bum Bhole Cricket Club scored 167 runs in the stipulated overs.
Kalu’s brilliant century (101) proved instrumental for Bam Bam Bhole Cricket Club to script a victory. For his magnificent century, Kalu was adjudged as man of the match.
Baba Chanchal Singh was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Jasbir Singh Bhau, Zonal Physical Education Officer Bhalwal, Dalbir Singh (MRLD) and Sarpanch Bachan Sardar were the guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest advised the youth to participate in games and sports and be fit and healthy.
He said sports and games serve for delight, for ornament and for agility, adding that it is games and sports which help youth to be away from social evils like drugs and other allied things, so not to derail from the mainstream.
The Tournament was organized by Vikram Singh Chib, Raj Sharma, Harmeet Singh, Bhadur Khajuria, Parshotam Kumar, Subash Chander, Shubham Sharma and Bunty Patta.
