1st Happy Memorial Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, July 9: Bawa Talab CC defeated Friends CC by 15 runs in the ongoing 1st Happy Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organized by Ravi Verma and Aryan Gupta under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, near here today.
Friends CC won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Bawa Talab CC scored 168 with the loss of eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sukhdev Singh made highest 38 runs, whereas Anil Singh scored 34 runs and Munna and Binny Singh contributed 19 and 15 runs to the total respectively. For Friends CC, Vipin Verma, Jeshu and Amit Singh shared two wickets each, while Shubham got one wicket.
In reply, the Friends CC failed to chased the target and bundled out at 153 runs, thus lost the match by 15 runs, wherein Manik Sharma scored highest 31 runs, whereas Shobanam Sharma and Shubam Chib contributed 30 runs each to the total. From bowling side, Sukhdev Singh, Rohit Singh, Binny Singh and Martin shared two wickets each, whereas Munna and Bhanu clinched one wicket each.
Sukhdev Singh was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting and bowling. Vikas Bali and Ravi Verma were umpires of the match and Manav Mehta & Vasu Sharma acted as scorers.
