Bathindi CC outplays Rajouri Club in Republic Cup T20

JAMMU, Jan 21: Bathindi Cricket Club got better of Rajouri Cricket Club in a well fought contest of Republic Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Federation at Sainik Colony Ground, here.
Earlier, Bathindi Cricket Club won the toss and decided to field first.
Put into bat, Rajouri Club scored 153 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
In reply, Bathindi Club chased the target by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Showkat was the top scorer with 39 runs off 28 balls, while Nazar and Iqbal contributed 25 and 10 runs to the total respectively. For Bathindi Club, Naseem was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets, while Nazar took 3.
The final match of the Tournament will be played on January 26, 2014 at the same venue.
