Basit outplays Ansh by 3-2, clinches State Junior Billiards title

JAMMU, Oct 25: Basit Wani outplayed Ansh Chopra by 3-2 and clinched the title trophy of the State Junior Billiards Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first frame, Ansh Chopra registered win by 50-48, whereas Ansh Chopra raised the lead by winning the second frame by 50-34.
Basit Wani bounced back and won the third frame by 50-43 and equalized the game by winning the fourth frame by 50-35.
In the decider frame, Basit Wani registered win over Ansh Chopra by 50-28 and lifted the title trophy.
Earlier in the first semis, Ansh Chopra beat Standin 3-2 with the frames score of 59-37, 29-51, 37-50, 50-20 and 51-16, whereas in Basit Wani defeated Sanand Sharma 3-2 with the frames score of 51-43, 51-43, 5-50, 43-51 and 52-39.
The matches were being held under strict supervision of the JKBSA members and played with the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sharma, Pawan Khajuria and Ashok.
According to JKBSA spokesman, State Senior Snooker Championship will start from October 27.
