BARAMULLA, June 3: The Baramulla Volleyball Championship 2026 concluded at Showket Ali Indoor Stadium, Baramulla today.
Organised jointly by the Indian Army and the District Sports Council under the theme “Wadi-e-Tarjuman – Baramulla Youth Says Yes to Sports, No to Drugs,” the championship was held from April 4 to June 3 and featured 46 men’s and women’s teams.
The tournament witnessed thrilling contests and strong public support, with players showcasing excellent sporting talent throughout the event. In the final matches, Amargarh Volleyball Club clinched the men’s title, while KIC Volleyball Club emerged victorious in the women’s category.
Senior civil and sports dignitaries, students and local residents attended the grand finale and appreciated the initiative for promoting sports culture, youth empowerment, and civil-military cooperation in the region.
