JAMMU, Oct 1: The prefects of Banyan International School were officially invested with their powers and responsibilities today. In a forty minute ceremony, the prefects received their badges, sashes and were sworn in as well.
Principal, Shounak Lahiri, counseled them on leadership, exhorting the newly elected student council to lead by example and to remember that leadership is first and foremost about service.
Raman Bedi was elected as the first school Captain in the six year history of the School, which will have its first batch of Class 12 students sitting for their board exams in March and April 2015.
