Bank Academy, JKP script wins

JAMMU, Apr 7: J&K Bank Academy and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) team registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Jammu Chapter of the 26th State Football Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, JK Bank Academy defeated Young Rovers by four goals to two (4-2) via tie-breaker. Earlier, the match ended in (0-0) draw in the stipulated time.
In another match, JKP drubbed Hero Club by a solitary goal (1-0). Vishal Kumar scored the goal from Jammu and Kashmir Police in 20th minute of the match.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Honey Kumar, Romesh Kumar and Amit Verma.
The matches among others were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu; Kuldeep Singh, Vice President Jammu; Romesh Chander, Vice President Jammu, SM Gill, Varinder Gupta, Charan Dass and Rajesh Kumar.
