JAMMU/POONCH/REASI, June 28: Bandral Cricket Club, Khour Cricket Club, LoC Cricket Club Poonch and RCC Poonch registered victories over their rivals in the ongoing JKCA Premier championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at various venues in Jammu province.
At GGM Science College Hostel ground, Bandral Cricket Club defeated Akhnoor Royals by 12 runs in a close contest.
Batting first, Bandral Cricket Club scored 118 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process, while in reply, Akhnoor Royals managed to score 106 runs in 15.3 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 12 runs. Gurpreet Singh of Bandral CC was declared as the man of the match for his superb bowling display.
In another match at this venue, Khour Cricket Club was declared winner over Krishna Cricket Club Ahnoor for better run rate in a rain hit match. Batting first, Krishna CC collapsed at 55 runs in 10 overs, while in reply, Khour Cricket Club were 35 for 2 in 5 overs, thus was declared winners on the basis of better run rate.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, LoC Poonch XI defeated Rofi Cricket Club by 8 wickets. Rofi CC scored 91 runs in 19.4 overs, which was chased down easily by LoC Poonch in 7.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Iftkar Batti of LoC Poonch was declared as the man of the match.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, RCC crushed SB Cricket Club by a big margin of 115 runs. Batting first, RCC scored 214 runs in 30 overs. SB Cricket Club in reply bundled out for 99 runs in 24 overs. Sarabjeet of NCC was adjudged as the man of the match for scoring brilliant 83 runs and scalping 2 important wickets.
