UDHAMPUR, June 1: District Bandipora got better of Jammu in a tight contest by 4 wickets in the ongoing State Level Inter-District Under-14 Cricket Tournament at Subash Stadium, here today.
Batting first, Jammu scored 100 runs in the stipulated 16 overs by losing 6 wickets. Sarthak Peshin top scored with 33 runs, while Arya Sachivansh contributed 24 runs to the total. Ayush Andotra and Musaif Azad chipped in with 15 and 13 runs respectively.
In reply, Bandipora chased the target in 15 overs by losing 5 wickets. Almost all the batsmen contributed in a winning cause. For Jammu, spinners Praful Dhar and Marutwan bagged 2 wickets each, while Sanat Anand claimed one wicket.
