JAMMU, July 19: Baloria XI sailed into semi-final of Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Premier League by defeating Bholanath Cricket Club Government by 6 wickets in a quarter-final match played today.
Batting first, BCC scored a total of 118 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing eight wickets. Vikram scored highest 23 runs for the team while Lablu and Narander also contributed 13 runs each to the total. For Baloria XI, Raman Dutta took three wickets, Vishawjeet bagged two wickets while Ritik and Satish claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Baloria XI easily chased the target in 18.3 overs by losing just four wickets. Paras Sharma made highest 60 runs for the team, Satish remained unbeaten with 42 runs and Shubhum contributed 7 runs. For BCC, both Ankush and Lablu claimed 2 wickets each. Paras Sharma was declared as Man of the Match for his impressive performance with the bat.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Madan Lal as umpires while Vinod acted as scorer.
The first semi-final match of the Championship will be played today between Tawi Sports and KCCC at 12.30 pm.
