Bal Bharti Public School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Apr 17: Bal Bharti Public School, a unit of Balgran (Charitable Home for Destitute Children, Channi Rama, Jammu) celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show, today.
Prof Manoj K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, AK Khajuria, President of Balgran presented welcome address.
The Principal of the school, Urmil Arora presented the annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school.
The students presented a variety of cultural items starting with Sarswati Vandana.
The chief guest presented scholarships to meritorious children and prizes to those children who excelled in co-curricular activities.
All-round prizes were also given to children and Tagore House received the prize as the best House of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest while assuring all possible help said that Balgran/Bal Bharti Public School will be adopted by the University of Jammu.
He further said that the team of scholars and experts will be deputed by Jammu University to upgrade the School Lab, Computer Lab and the Library of Balgran.
Finally, the chief guest was presented a memento by Mr Khajuria as a token of gratitude from the organisers.
Vote of thanks was presented by VK Raina, Honourary Secretary of Balgran.
