REASI, Mar 10: Bagga B registered 13 runs victory over Bagga A team and lifted the title trophy of the month long “Mahore Premier League”, being organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Sarh under the aegis of Headquarters Rastriya Rifles Sector, Mahore.
Winning the toss and batting first, Bagga B scored 79 runs in 19.3 overs for the loss of all the wickets, which the Bagga A team failed to score and bundled out at 66 runs in 19 overs.
On the occasion, Commanding Officer of the battalion was the chief guest, who distributed trophies and a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each to the winning and runner-up teams in presence of other Army Officers and Officials, local populace and sports lovers.
While speaking, Commanding Officer said that the tournament was organized in the memory of the Lance Naik Farnail Singh and Late Lance Naik Satbir Singh of 156 TA, who lost their lives in a tragic accident in the month of December, 2012.
