ASKCC to face Sabi XI in 6th Police Martyrs Memorial T20 final

KATHUA, Dec 30: Akshay Star Kohli Cricket Club (ASKCC) and Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur defeated their rivals convincingly in the semifinals to seal berth in the finals of the 6th Police Martyrs Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
In the 1st semifinal, ASKCC defeated Vicky XI Pathankot by 7 wickets.
Earlier, Vicky XI Pathankot won the toss and chose to bat first to set a target of 110 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Manoj Daggar scored 35 runs in 30 balls, with 5 boundaries. Yogesh of Akshay Star Kohli Cricket Club Kathua took 3 wickets.
Akshay Star Kohli Cricket Club, Kathua easily chased the target and won the match by 7 wickets in 16.4 overs. Rahul top scored with unbeaten 46 runs and was declared man of the match with cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy.
In the 2nd semifinal, Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Sandu Cricket Club Ludhiana set a target of 110 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Banny scored 33 runs in 28 balls, with the help of 5 boundaries. Sonu Rathi, Roshan Saini and Hitesh of Sabi XI Cricket Club Hoshiar Pur took 2 wickets each. Sabi XI Cricket Club Hoshiarpur easily chased the target and won the match by 5 wickets. Abhimanu of Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur scored unbeaten 52 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 7 boundaries and 1 six. Bhagvinder of Sandu Cricket Club, Ludhiana took 4 wickets by conceding 18 runs. Abhimanu who scored 52 runs was declared as man of the match with a cash prize of Rs 5000 and a trophy.
