JAMMU, June 15:  Ashkoor Wani, DIG Jammu flagged off Cricket Exposure Tour for Jammu Junior Cricketers (U-16 boys) in the presence of AK Raina, Vice President AIKS, Rajesh Sharma, SSP and SO to IGP Jammu, RP Singh Additional SP PCR, Aryan Ramesh, Secretary AIKS, Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA and Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer, former Ranji Trophy Player and Coordinator of the Tour from Police Control Room, here today.
The Cricket Exposure Tour is being organized at Gurgaon by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu and All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) Delhi.
The Tour is an initiative by J&K Sports Promoters Club and sponsored by Ambience Group.
The Tour titled ‘Friendship Series between Jammu Rising Stars and Gurgaon Stars” is being organized under the supervision of Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu and Vijay Aima, President AALL India Kashmiri Samaj.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest DIG Jammu lavished praise for the organizers for conducting this Exposure Tour for the boys of under 16 years. He said that J&K Police is regularly conducting cricket and other sports events in all districts but this will be a first of its kind event.
He further said the participating players will also get chance to conceptualize the things at Gurgaon and learn so many other things which will be very beneficial in their career.
The DIG advised the budding players to learn cricket as well as other things and provide feedback after completion of the tour.
Earlier, Rajesh Gill presented brief report of the Tour.
Later on, AK Raina presented vote of thanks and appreciated the Zonal Police for regularly sporting AIKS in conducting events for the youths of the state.
JK Rising Stars will play their first match against Gurcharan Florence Academy run my former Test Cricketer Gurcharan Singh, 2nd against famous Nishchay Cricket Academy and third against Ryders Cricket Academy. The final match will be played under lights at famous Tau Devi Lal International Stadium.
AIKS Delhi will do all logistic arrangements and Kashyap Sabha Gurgaon will serve as supporting hand.
The Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu nominated Rajesh Gill Chief prosecuting officer as In-charge of the tour, who will be assisted by Madan Mohan as Coach.
The 16-member team includes Surya, Kannav, Rohan Gill, Praful Dhar, Musaif Ajaz, Aditpal Singh, Laith August, Umer Sadiq, Sachin Sharma, Ayush Koul, Akshit Gandral, Ragav Thakur, Ashim Nanda, Nalin and Dhruv.
