JAMMU, Sept 21: Divisional level Ashite Karate-Do-Championship was organised by Ashite Karate-Do Association J&K at Swarn Palace near Vivekanand Chowk, here today.
About 183 students from different Schools and Clubs participated in the championship, which was inaugurated by Sunil Sharma, Managing Director of Cradle to Colours School.
He congratulated all students, parents and their coaches for their contributions to train the young budding players for the championship.
The officials of the championship were Sensei Aaftab, Sensei Udhay Singh, Sensei Naresh Kumar, Sensei Vikas Charak, Sensei Rakesh Kumar, Sensei Dinesh Kumar, Sensei Pawan Choudhary and others.
Shihan Naresh Chander, president of the Association was the chief guest of the closing ceremony who distributed the medals to the winners.
Viraj Baru, son of Ashwani Baru and Rupali Baru won gold medal in under-10 category championship.
The vote of thanks was presented by Shihan Shashi Janotra, general secretary of the Association.
