RAJOURI, May 23: Asan Cricket Club defeated KFC Rajouri Cricket Club by 9 wickets in the ongoing Rajouri District JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at District Police Line ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, KFC Rajouri bundled out for a paltry total of 68 runs in 13.5 overs. Aashu and Razak crossed the double figure mark, scoring 19 and 13 runs respectively. For Asan Cricket Club, Ahsan-ul-Haq was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Muzamil Hussain took 2 wickets.
In reply, Asan Cricket Club chased the target in just 5.4 overs by losing 1 wicket to win the match by 9 wickets. Asif Mustafa and Tanveer Ahmed scored 26 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For KFC Rajouri Nasir claimed the lone wicket to fall. Ahsan Ul Haq of Asan Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match.
The tournament is being organised under the patronage of Justice C K Prasad and Justice Rifat Alam and under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA A H Bukhari and the matches are held under the overall supervision of members of committee Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Swaroop Kalsotra.
