Aryan Club Katra registers 6-wkt win in inaugural tie

JAMMU, Jan 3: Aryan Cricket Club Katra defeated Grammorh Cricket Club Reasi by 6 wickets in the inaugural match of the Sadbhavana Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, which got underway at Sports Stadium, Reasi today.
The Tournament is being organized by Reasi Cricket Club under the supervision of the organizing committee including Nadeem Bhat and Surinder Sharma.
Earlier, the Tournament was declared open by Vivek Gupta, SSP Reasi in an impressive, well attended and colourful function.
Winning the toss and batting first, Grammorh CC Reasi scored a modest total of 128 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Rajat was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Baldev and Jagdev contributed 29 and 19 runs to the total respectively. Extras contributed 19 runs to the total. For Aryan Club, Ranjeet scalped 3 wickets, while Sanjay, Rashid and Opinder claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Aryan Club Katra chased the target in 15 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Himalaya was the top scorer with 37 runs, while Shiva and Ranjeet contributed 31 and 25 runs to the total respectively. Balbir took 2 wickets for Grammorh Club, while Abhishek and Baldev claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Narinder Sharma and Rajesh Dogra as umpires, while Vikas Baru was the scorer.
