JAMMU, Apr 13: Arushi Kotwal emerged winner in Under-25 Open category, while Menal Gupta bagged second spot and Abhishek claimed third place in the ongoing Jammu Division Selection Chess Tournament, being organized by All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association, here.
In boys Under-9 category, top three positions went to Ayush, Deewang Gupta and Divay Jain respectively, while in Under-7 boys category, Divyam Gupta clinched first place, Anand Swaroop bagged second spot and Pranav Sharma claimed third position.
Anil Kotwal, FIDE Arbiter officiated all the matches played today, under the overall supervision of president All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta.
All the events are being played under FIDE Laws of Chess under Swiss System.
The events in Under-13 category will be played tomorrow.
