Arun attends AIFF’s maiden technical committee meeting

JAMMU, Sept 18: Arun Malhotra of Jammu attended the maiden meeting of the All India Football Federation (AIFF)’s technical committee at Salt Lake in Kolkata, today.
The meeting was chaired by former India Captain and Arjuna Awardee, IM Vijayan, deputy chairperson, Manoranjan Bhatta-charya, secretary general, Dr Shaji Prabhakaran, deputy secretary general, Sunando Dhar, Arun Malhotra, Climax Lawrence, Pinki Bompal, Harjinder Singh and Eugeneson Lyngdoh.
The committee discussed a number of issues pertaining to the national team and their performances under head coach, Igor Stimac. The senior women’s national team’s performance in the SAFF Championship also came up for discussion during the meeting.
Earlier, the members along with vice president, NA Haris and secretary general, Dr Shaji Prabhakaran inspected the National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.
The new management intends to evaluate the project in total and finalise a revised plan after discussing in the executive committee meeting on how to complete the project for the optimum usage of the advanced facility.
