Srinagar, July 21: Under the aegis of Chinar Corps, the Army’s 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) has started a 40 days course on Certificate of Computer Concepts (CCC) from at Youth Guidance Node Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A Defence spokesman said the course is aimed at youths of Sumbal block especially the financial weaker section of the Society to provide them the basic knowledge and technical skill in computers. “The opportunity will empower the youths to hone on their knowledge and skills about computers & brighten their future prospects for employment,” he said.
The coordinator, Mr Fayaz, who runs his own computer center said that youths will be educated about the basics of the computer, its hardware, operating system and on successful completion of the course they will be given a Certificate in Computer Concepts recognized by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh under the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Govt of India. He also said that as a future prospect, students scoring well in this course will be sponsored for one year Diploma Course in Computer at Srinagar.
