JAMMU, Aug 26: Army organized an Inter School Kho-Kho Tournament for girls at Mendhar in Poonch district, today in the memory of Shaheed Sepoy Roshan Singh, Sena Medal (SM) of the Army who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting for the Nation. A total of four Schools from villages Chhatral, Mankot, Ari and Mendhar participated in the tournament. Team from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar won the tournament while team from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ari was the runners-up. The purpose for organizing such event was to promote sports amongst the youth of the areas, encourage the local students to take up sports as a career and to display their potential in sports.
