JAMMU, Aug 3: As part of Sadbhavna initiative to promote and foster the spirit of peace and unity between the youth of far flung areas of Poonch region and North Kashmir valley, Indian Army organized a Motorcycle Expedition ‘Sair-E-Milaap’.
The members of the Expedition interacted with the Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha in a simple ceremony held at Badami Bag Cantonment, today.
This Expedition, which has a combined 12 member team of Army personnel and College students of the Poonch region, truly embodies the spirit of brotherhood and oneness and carries the message of peace, harmony, unity and patriotism.
The Expedition was flagged off from Jhullas, Poonch on July 29, 2015, the team traversed over the Mughal Road to reach Srinagar on August 1, 2015 and covered Sonamarg and Zojilla on August 2, 2015.
The Expedition, which is also symbolic of adventure, courage and fortitude of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir returned to Rajouri via Udhampur and Jammu.
