JAMMU, Oct 15: Miran Sahib Brigade organized a T20 Cricket Tournament to induce healthy living and promote the game of cricket in border villages.
The first phase of the cluster league matches of the T-20 tournament was organized from October 5, 2015 to October 15, 2015.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament from RS Pura and adjoining border areas.
The final match played between RS Pura club and Dablehar club was witnessed by Brigadier SKS Chauhan, Commander Miran Sahib Brigade, Mr Randhir Singh, SP HQ Jammu and Mr Deep Raj, SDM, RS Pura. Commander, Miran Sahib Brigade felicitated the winner and runners-up teams with certificates.
The winner of the tournament was Dablehar club won the final match by five wickets which would subsequently take part in the Super Six as RS Pura Arsenals.
Brigadier SKS Chauhan while interacting with the players emphasized on the importance of keeping physically fit. The local youth appreciated the Indian Army’s endeavour and requested for similar sporting activities in future as well.
