SRINAGAR, May 2: To provide a platform to the budding cricketers of the Kashmir Valley, Army organized a Cricket Tournament from May 01 to May 07 for the local teams of Budgam District.
An Army spokesman said that the first match was played between teams Alhayat and Sher Dil Pallar which was won by Team Alhayat.
“The local crowd came forward to witness the exciting match and this Tournament will further help to inculcate a spirit of sportsmanship amongst the youth. The locals appreciated this sporty amalgamation with the Army which will go a long way in harnessing the talent of the Valley,” he said.
