REASI, Aug 21: Army in close coordination with the local village sports body and the Agsi Youth Association organized a cricket tournament at village Agsi in tehsil Mahore, with an aim to promote sports amongst the youth of the remote areas.
The week long tournament which culminated today featured 16 teams from the remote villages of Mahore tehsil as well as villages along the higher reaches of Pir Panjal ranges. The friendly atmosphere during the tournament reflected the bonhomie and cultural integrity of the region.
The team from Village Khour lifted the winner’s trophy by defeating team Gulabgarh. Mohd Yaseen Malik of team Gulabgarh was declared the player of the tournament.
