BARAMULLA, Sept 27: Raribal Tekri Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Watlab Sector organised ‘Wular Sports Festival’ to rejuvenate and boost sports culture among youth at Waltab Sports Stadium, here.
The event was commenced with the ‘Wular Run’ which was flagged off by Deputy Commander Watlab Sector from Village Sangri. About 227 youths from 27 villages of Bandipora and Baramulla districts participated in this event.
Asif Ahmed Khan of Watlab Ghat and Mehvish Majid clinched first place in boys and girls categories respectively. Cash award along with mementoes were award to winners of the event.
Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, Sarpanch Ashtiung applauded the efforts and expressed gratitude to Army for organising such an event with due adherence to social distancing norms and COVID-19 guidelines.
