UDHAMPUR, Dec 22: With an aim to bring in communal harmony and inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the youth, the Indian Army organized a Cricket Tournament at Samote here.
A total of six teams from Tuli, Hasot, Kalaban, Nambal, Banna and Moda Mol villages of Rajouri district participated in the tournament. Team Kalaban won the tournament after beating Tuli team in a keenly contested match.
Approximately 300 locals turned up to witness the final match.
All the participating team members displayed excellent sportsman spirit during the conduct of the tournament.
The Sarpanch and elders of the village expressed their gratitude towards the Army in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region and bring in bonhomie.
