APS wins Quiz competition

SAMBA, Aug 30: Students of APS Bari Brahmana emerged winners of the Inter-APS Cluster-1 Quiz Competition, here today.
The Inter-APS competition was organised by Army Public School Bari Brahmana at cluster level under the mentorship of the host School Principal, Neeta Rawal.
Brig S K Goswami, SM (Chairman APS Bari Brahmana) was chief guest on the occasion and Col Akshay Dogra, CO 17 GARH RIF was the guest of honour. The competition was inaugurated by Brig S K Goswami, SM (Chairman APS BD Bari) by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
He was accompanied by Col Akshay Dogra,17 GARH RIF, Lt Col Saras Handa, Neeta Rawal, Principal APS BD Bari and Hemlata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak.
The eight Schools of Cluster- I APS Samba, APS Kaluchak, APS Ratnuchak, APS Miran Sahib, APS Damana, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Sunjuwan and the host School participated enthusiastically in the competition, wherein the host School lifted the winner trophy and APS Samba stood runners up.
In the closing address, Colonel Akshay Dogra CO, 17 GARH RIF congratulated all the winners and encouraged all the participants to participate in such competitions as it will improve their intellect and equip them with 21st century competitive skills. He also congratulated all the teachers who prepared the students very well.
The competition was an amalgamation of competency, inquisitiveness and perseverance. Principal Neeta Rawal, while interacting with the escort teachers emphasised on the importance of bringing competitive skill among the students and the need of preparing them well for life.
