APS Udhampur clinches Northern Command Football C’ship title

UDHAMPUR, Aug 30: The Northern Command Army Public School (APS) Football tournament, concluded today at APS Udhampur.
The final match was played between APS Udhampur and APS Akhnoor, in which former registered win by 4-2 goals.
Both the teams’ tactics were made up of actions by players that are coordinated with one another. Both the teams’ offensive and defensive moves were in equal measure. Keeping the own team’s strengths and weaknesses in mind, the coaches made their tactical plan to cover up the weaknesses and expose a team’s strengths. The team captains also analyzed which tactics the opponent preferred on the field, their strengths and weaknesses.
It was a worth watch match with a marvelous display of enthusiasm and energy and sportsmanship on part of both the teams.
In the championship, APS Udhampur, Dhar Road, Akhnoor, Rakhmuthi and Nagrota took part.
The championship came to the end with the distribution of prizes to the winning teams by Chairman APS Udhampur, Brig Manoj Mohan. He exhorted the students to play games and remain healthy.
Adhiraj Dev Goswami of APS Udhampur was awarded as the Best Player of the tournament.
Principal, Sanjeev Kumar encouraged the entire participants to perform better and emphasized on the importance of games and sports in life.
