APS Udh scripts history, clinches runners up trophy

JAMMU, Nov 25: The students of Army Public School Udhampur scripted history by clinching the runners up trophy in All APS National Level English Debate Competition.
It was another feather in the cap of this glorious institution under the guidance of Sanjeev Kumar, Principal, APS, Udhampur.
It involved a grueling competition between all the APS schools under Indian Army’s Northern Command to qualify for the National Level Competition.
APS Udhampur was adjudged first in the Command level competition. The national level competition was organized under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi and was hosted by APS Shankar Vihar virtually on Zoom web platform.
A total of seven APS Schools including APS Udhampur, APS Mathura, APS Delhi Cantt, APS Mhow, APS Fazilka, APS Bengaluru and APS Barrackpore participated in the National Level competition representing various commands.
The topic of the debate was “Entrepreneurship (Job seekers vs Job creators) Myth or Reality.
The winning English debate team of APS Udhampur comprised Sakshi Gupta of class XII speaking for the motion, Krishna Rathod of class XI speaking against the motion and Ishaan Pandey of class XI spoke as the interjector.
The speakers were very articulate and presented their views in a very lucid manner.
The team was mentored by Rashmi Kandpal Pandey and Meenakshi Sambyal from the English Department.
