JAMMU, Jan 29: With the purpose of inducing a transition in the current educational paradigm, breaking the age old stereotype pertaining to education and to meet the demands of the ever evolving world, a School Fete, “Convivial Fiesta” was organized by Army Public School (APS) Kaluchak, here today.
It proved to be just the apt time to indulge in extra-curricular activities, explore one’s talent and hone innate skills, besides providing opportunity to indulge in different activities and learn several new things which were out of the box.
The stalls that were put up, aimed at providing the opportunity to the students to indulge in different activities and grasp several contemporary things which felicitated brain storming of the students as a part of learning pedagogy.
“Such activities build confidence in the students and provide the right kind of exposure to them which proves to be a boon for them in the long run”, the organisers claimed.
The gathering enjoyed a vast array of stalls and activities while being entertained by the scintillating folk dances namely Kalbelia, Bhangra and Kannada.
Around 9 food and 13 game stalls were put up at the fete. The students had set up colourful stalls with different kinds of games which tested the intelligence, analytical skills and eye-hand coordination of the participants.
Children enjoyed the rides thoroughly. The delectable delicacies served at the food stalls kept the visitors’ taste buds tickling. However, game stalls, especially the ‘Hit the Target’ and ‘Musical Chair’, were the real crowd pullers.
The event witnessed a gathering of over 3,000 students. It was a rhapsody of colours in the premises of APS Kaluchak.
Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak summarized the fete as an enriching experience that was blended with exuberance.
She lauded the efforts of APS Kaluchak fraternity who put-forth their best efforts to make the event grandeur.
