APS Dhar Road celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 5: Army Public School (APS) Dhar Road was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere as the school celebrated its 18th Annual Day on the theme ‘I Have a Dream’, here
Chairman of the school, Brigadier Navin Varma was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sangeeta Varma was the guest of honour.
Colonel A K Sharma, Director AWES Northern Command, Principals of various institutions also graced the occasion with their presence.
Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by the chief guest by lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the chanting of shlokas and presentation of Saraswati Vandana by the children.
Principal of the school, Jyoti Bedyal presented the annual report sharing the credentials and laurels of the school.
The students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant performances. The cultural bonanza was highly impressive and the parents were spellbound by the programme presented by the children.
The students also presented a Nukkad Natak showing the importance of Education.
The chief guest felicitated the achievers for their excellence in different fields. Master Rahul Singh, Master Rudra Madhab Pradhan and Master Vishal Khatana who were the toppers in Class X Board exams during the session 2018-2019 were awarded with a cash prize and trophy.
The Best House trophy was bagged by Ravi House. The teachers were also felicitated for their exemplary dedication and devotion.
Bindhya Thakur (PRT) and Pooja Verma (TGT) were adjudged as the Best Teachers for the session 2018-2019. Madan Lal was awarded as the Best Adm Employee of the year.
The chief guest in his address congratulated the school fraternity for such a flawless presentation and motivated the children to put continuous efforts in academics and co-curricular activities as well.
The celebration came to an end by the vote of thanks by Principal, Jyoti Bedyal.
The function concluded with the presentation of the National Anthem.
