JAMMU, Nov 26: Army Public School (APS), Damana received the coveted Millennium Trophy for Academic excellence by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) at a function held in the auditorium of APS, Shanker Vihar, New Delhi.
The school received the national award for ranking second best school showing best board results in class XII among the small schools category of Army Public Schools in India.
The award was presented by Army Commander Western Command to the Principal of the School Dr Renu Gupta along with Ravinder Singh and Anjana Manhas, school head boy and head girl.
The award comprises of the millennium trophy for academic excellence and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The school management has eulogised the entire school fraternity for achieving this milestone by putting in ardent efforts in imparting quality education to the students.
