JAMMU, May 2: Investiture Ceremony was organized by APS Damana with a lot of fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm, here.
The programme included a number of events to commemorate the day. Brig Abhijit Chandra, SM, Chairman of the school was the chief guest on the occasion, while Lt Col Rajesh Kumar, SO School, Dr Renu Gupta and Principal were also present.
Investiture Ceremony was held wherein the newly elected members of the School Students’ Council were officially conferred with Sashes and Badges by the chief guest to entrust them with duties and responsibilities.
These members of the school council were elected through secret ballot. Lucky Radha and Aditi Raina of class XII were elected as School Senior Head Boy and Senior Head Girl respectively. Similarly, Master Manav Pawar and Pranjal Singh of class VI were elected as School Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl respectively. Besides, students’ co-coordinator, academic in charge, CCA in charge, Sports in charge, Debate in charge and Captains of the four houses were a few among the Council of students.
The oath was taken by the Student Council wherein they pledged to uphold the integrity and glory of the school.
The chief guest complemented the elected members of the Students’ Council and advised them to be the role models for the rest of the students.
He also encouraged them for coming up to the expectations of the students who have elected them.
The programme ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
