REASI, Mar 22: APS Club Udhampur and Charyai Club Udhampur smashed rivals in the final matches of their respective football and kabaddi tournaments, organized by Udhampur-Reasi Range Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at SMVDSB Multi Purpose Sports Stadium Katra.
Ajay Nanda, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, CA&PD, Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation and Labour and Employment was the chief guest during the final of the football tournament, wherein APS Club Udhampur registered 4-2 goals win over DFA Football Club.
Varinder Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Udhampur-Reasi Range, Dr Shalendra Mishra, SSP Udhampur, MK Kumar, Additional CEO SMVDSB, Tahir Bhat SSP Reasi, Neelam Khajuria, SDM Katra, Sameer Kotwal, Additional SP Katra, Dr Ashok Sharma and SDPO Katra were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range inaugurated the final match of the Kabaddi Tournament, in which Charyai Kabaddi Club Udhampur smashed Chenani Kabaddi Club by 15 points.
Later, Varinder Sharma, DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range gave away the medals and trophies to the winners and runners up teams.
Both the matches were officiated by the officials of the Department of Youth Services and Sports Udhampur.
A large number of sarpanches, panches, Romesh Panotra, ADO RPHQ Udhampur, Mohit Raina Tehsildar Katra, Dr Gopal Dutt BMO CHC Katra, Rajesh Mengi, AEE PDD Katra, Ajay Sharma, AEE PHE Katra, VP Singh AEE R&B Katra, SHO Katra Inspector Arvind Sambyal and many others were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the qualifier matches of Volleyball and Handball tournaments were also concluded today at Udhampur. The final match of cricket will be held at Subhash Stadium Udhampur tomorrow and the final matches of Volleyball and Handball tournaments at Mini Stadium town hall Udhampur tomorrow.
