SAMBA, July 13: Army Public School BD Bari inaugurated a three-day long Inter-Army Public School Cluster-I Table Tennis Tournament here today.
Chairman, Army Public School, BD Bari, Brigadier SK Goswami was the chief guest on the occasion and Colonel Navdeep Sandhu, (SO APS BD Bari) was the guest of honour.
There were eight teams from different Army Public Schools in the event which featured both individual and doubles matches. The 8 teams were divided in Pool A and Pool B. The inaugural match of Pool A was played between Army Public School, Miran Sahib and Army Public School, Jammu Cantt in which Army Public School, Miran Sahib won by 3-0. In the second match played between Army Public School, Ratnuchak and Army Public School, Samba in which Army Public School, Samba won the match by 3-1. Third match was played between Army Public School, Ratnuchak and Army Public School, Jammu Cantt in which Army Public School, Ratnuchak won by 3-0. Fourth match was played between Army Public School, Samba and Army Public School, Miran Sahib in which Army Public School, Miran Sahib won by 3-2.
Under Pool B, the first match was played between Army Public School, Sunjawan and Army Public School, Kaluchak, which Army Public School, Kaluchak won by 3-0. The second match was played between Army Public School, BD Bari and Army Public School, Damana in which Army Public School, Damana won by 3-1. The third match was played between Army Public School, Damana and Army Public School, Sunjawan in which Army Public School, Damana won by 3-0. The fourth match was played between Army Public School, Kaluchak and Army Public School, BD Bari in which Army Public School, Kaluchak won by 3-0.
Brigadier SK Goswami, Chairman Army Public School, BD Bari in his address encouraged the students to play the fair game. He said that hard work, determination, teamwork and discipline are imperative for healthy competitions. Neeta Rawal, Principal Army Public School, BD Bari motivated children to embrace the spirit of healthy competition and to apply the same dedication and passion to their academics.
