JAMMU, Aug 28: Inter School and District Level Competitions in various disciplines, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports were played at various places.
JAMMU: Inter School Competition in the discipline of basketball for boys and girls concluded at MA Stadium, here.
In under-19 boys, APS Akhnoor defeated DPS by 46-30 in summit clash. Earlier in the first semis, DPS beats MHAC Nagbani by 26-24 points and in the second semis, APS Akhnoor crushed Jodhamal Public School by 27-22 points.
POONCH: Two days long Inter-District Competition in the discipline of football for under-14, 17 and 19 boys and girls commenced at Sports Stadium and GBHSS, here.
In under-14 category, Poonch defeated Reasi, whereas in under-17 category, Samba defeated Udhampur, Jammu crushed Kathua, Reasi registered win over Rajouri, Reasi lost to Poonch and Jammu smashed Samba.
In under-19 category, Samba registered win over Reasi, Kathua lost to Udhampur and Poonch defeated Samba.
