JAMMU, Nov 16: A girl from Jammu, Appoorva Gupta daughter of Parshotam Kumar and Anu Gupta resident of Talab Tillo Jammu was been awarded with Best Thesis Award in M.Sc during a National Conference on ‘Natural Farming for Sustainable Agriculture and National Prosperity’, jointly organized by Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Akshay Krishi Parivar and Royal Association for Science-led Socio-cultural Advancement at SDAU, Sardarkrushingar from November 11-13, 2022.
She did her Masters under the guidance of Dr. Poonam Parihar, Associate Professor, SKUAST Jammu. The title of her thesis was ‘Impact Evaluation of Women Dairy Self Help Groups of Mahila Grameen Hastkala Welfare Society of Kathua District’.
The award was presented by Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore, Campus Director, Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur, also former DDG (Education), ICAR, New Delhi and A.K Singh, President RASSA, New Delhi.
The conference was attended by more than 100 dignitaries from all over the country.
Appoorva is presently pursuing her Ph.D on River Bed Vegetable Cultivation under the guidance of Dr. L.K Sharma, Professor, SKUAST-Jammu.
