JAMMU, Mar 4: Apple Kids, Sainik Colony celebrated its annual day with full gusto and enthusiasm, here today.
The function was adorned by B R Sharma, Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department, J&K Government, who graced the occasion as the chief guest and Ruby Sharma as the special guest.
The function commenced with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, special guest and other dignitaries.
The students presented various colourful items to mark the occasion.
Master Abhayjeet Singh of class Sr KG enthralled the audience with his solo performance of GATKA – a traditional India martial art.
Children presented cultural items like Jungle Theme Dance, Titli and Bhawre Dance, Prop Dance etc.
The Grand Finale was a skit on our National Symbols and National Song, culminating with National Anthem.
The children from age group two to five years held the audience spell bound throughout the function and the confidence exhibited by the tiny toddlers was applauded by all.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest appreciated the spirit and the confidence of the students on stage and the efforts of the school management and staff.
He also felicitated the students of various classes for their all-round achievements and for their academic excellence.
Special guest on the occasion, Ruby Sharma felicitated the students of Senior KG on their graduation ceremony.
Principal of the School, Veena Aswal presented the vote of thanks, while Center Head, Bindu Mehra presented the memento to the chief guest and the special guest on the occasion.
Among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Annil Suri, Chairman Federation of Industries, Sanjay Mehra, Chief Coordinator Apple Kids J&K, besides Center Heads of Apple Kids Branches J&K.
