JAMMU, Feb 25: Delhi Public School, Jammu concluded the Annual Athletic meet 2015-16 with great spirit of games, oneness and sportsmanship.
The programme started with the address by the esteemed Principal DPS Jammu.
Various events were organized by the school sports department for the students of pre-primary to senior classes. Students participated in relay race, long jump, sack race, frog race, hop race, one-leg race, lemon and spoon race, obstacle race, zigzag race, 100mt race, 200mt race, 400mt race and rope skip race.
Students of pre-primary classes presented a synchronized demo drill. The winners of the events were awarded medals and certificates by Principal, Headmistress and the members of the administration.
Principal, Ruchi Chabra gave away the Rolling Trophy for the Best House overall to the Tawi House, which claimed the prize on the basis of its throughout the year performance in Inter-House competition, Activities and Sports achievement during Annual Sports Meet.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Headmistress, DPS Jammu, Meenu Gupta who lauded the students for their enthusiasm and appreciated their sportsmanship.
She lavished praise on the Sports department headed by Dr Prem Singh and Sanya Malik, Sports co-coordinator.
