KATHUA, Feb 6: Amritsar Cricket Club defeated Khanna Cricket Club in an easy contest by 9 wickets to advance in the ongoing 5th Police Martyrs Memorial Inter-Club North Zone T20 Cricket Tournament, being held at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, Khanna Club was bundled out for a paltry total of 92 runs in 17.4 overs. Gagan Khanna (26) and Karan Goel (19) were the main scorers. For Amritsar Club, Abhishek was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding 18 runs in his 3.4 overs, while Abhinav bagged 4 wickets by giving away 13 runs in his 4 overs. Rohit also claimed one wicket.
In reply, Amritsar Club chased the target in 13 overs by losing only one wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Abhishek scored unbeaten 57 runs, while Rohan contributed unbeaten 19 runs to the total. Harpreet took the wicket for Khanna Club. Abhishek of Amritsar Club was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round show.
