AMCC Gurgaon, SBCC Kurukshetra register wins

JAMMU, Dec 23: Ajeet Memorial Cricket Club (AMCC) Gurgaon and Shree Balaji Cricket Club Kurukshetra registered convincing victories over their rivals to advance in the 6th Police Martyrs Memorial North Inter-Club T20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first match, AMCC Gurgaon defeated KG Clouts Delhi by 7 wickets.
Earlier, KG Clouts Delhi won the toss and chose to bat first to set a target of 143 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets.  Jonty Sidhu scored 46 runs, while Jatin of AMC Cricket Club Gurgaeon took 2 wickets. Ajeet Memorial Cricket Club Gurgaon easily chased the target in 16.1 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Yash Paul Dagger scored 56 runs, while Raman Goda scored 55 runs. Yash Pal Dagger was declared as man of the match with cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
In another match, Shree Balaji Cricket Club Kurukshetra won the toss and elected to bat first against Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur. Batting first, SBCC set a target of 140 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Mrigank top scored with 55 runs, while Pratap contributed 51 runs. Lalit of Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur  took 4 wickets.
In reply, Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur could not chase the target and scored only 95 runs in 16.5 overs. Lalit scored 38 runs, while Dheeraj of Shree Balaji Cricket Club Kurukhetra took 3 wickets. Mrigank who scored 55 runs was declared as man of the match and was presented a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
