Alamdar FC beats Flying Kashmir by 2-0

SRINAGAR, Aug 1: Alamdar FC beats Flying Kashmir Football Club by 2 goals to nil, while match between Shunglipora FC and Ali-Jana FC remained goalless draw in the ongoing Annual League Football Tournament being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The first match was played between Shunglipora FC and Ali-Jana FC ‘B’, wherein both the teams started with an aggressive note and tried to beat the defence line but couldn’t find the net. In the 10th minute of the 1st half Shunglipora FC made a brilliant move but could not score. Half time score remained goalless.
In the 2nd half Ali-Jana B tried to consolidate the position and made certain good moves but they couldn’t penetrate the solid defence line of Shunglipora FC. The match ended in a goalless draw.
The 2nd match was played between Flying Kashmir FC and Alamdar FC in which Alamdar FC defeated Flying Kashmir FC by 2 goals to nil. In the closely contested match, both the teams missed several scoring opportunities.
Ishfaq Ahmad opened the account for Alamdar FC in the 22nd minute of the match and maintained the lead during the first half. The second half also witnessed some aggressive play by both the teams. The Flying Kashmir FC was desperate to score an equaliser; the Alamdar FC players were trying to double the lead.
As Flying Kashmir FC was in search of scoring an equaliser, the Alamdar players managed to pass one into the opposite team’s half, which Khalid Hameed without any mistake converted into a goal. After trailing by two goals, the Flying Kashmir players tried their best to score and stepped up the attacks. But the defence lines of the Alamdar FC ensured that no goal was scored till the referee blew the final whistle.
The tournament is being organized by DFA Srinagar in collaboration with JKSC.
