JAMMU, Sept 21: Inter Block District Level Competition in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball girls in the age group of 16-25 yrs under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) commenced at Govt. HSS Domana, here today.
In all 98 girls across 7 blocks of district Jammu are taking part in the competition. The competition was declared open by Sher Singh, ZPEO Gandhi Nagar.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were ZPEOs Veerji Bhat, Chander Kanta, Anju Gupta and Veena Tickoo.
The tournament is being organised by the department of Youth Services & Sports under the supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and sports and Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu.
In Volleyball 16-25 girls final, Akhnoor Block beat Satwari Block by 2-0 sets, while in Kabaddi 16-25 yrs girls final, Akhnoor Block outplayed Khour Block by 27-11 points and in Kho-Kho 16-25 girls final, Bhalwal Block defeated Khour Block by one turn and one point.
The matches were officiated by Ram Murti, Anubhav, Ramesh Chander, Jagjeet Singh and Jasbir Singh.
