JAMMU, Feb 13: Promising speedster Akash Choudhary emerged top wicket-taker in North Zone (NZ) and ranked 14th allover India in the BCCI’s Mens Under-23 One Day Tournament, which concluded today.
Akash took a total of 11 wickets while representing Jammu and Kashmir in this prestigious tournament, with Yash Dayal of Uttar Pradesh claiming the top spot in India by bagging 15 wickets. Akash bagged 14th rank at All India Level.
Nikhil Choudhary of Punjab remained on second spot in North Zone with 10 wickets. However, Punjab emerged all India champion in this tournament.
Jammu and Kashmir’s fabulous show of five straight wins in this tournament ended with a loss in quarterfinals against Bengal.
