JAMMU, Dec 28: Aircel, one of India’s leading innovative telecom service providers, today organized the second edition of the much successful ‘Aircel Premiere League’ with enthusiastic participation from teams that comprised of Aircel Trade, Rural Sarpanches, the Media fraternity and Aircel employees. Initiated last year, the Aircel Premiere League witnessed active participation with the number of teams participating going up significantly this year and elevating the tournament into a much sought after event in the Aircel Jammu calendar.
The company strongly believes in ‘Doing a Little Extra’ and by reaching out to audiences that play an important part in the company’s successes, Aircel inculcates a feeling a of ‘Being a part of the Aircel Family’. The cricket tournament which began on the 20th of December culminated here with eight top teams vying for the four ‘APL’ trophies which winning teams won under the categories of Trade, Rural and Media and Employees. Prizes were also distributed for the best batsman, best bowler and best fielder.
The finals of the cricket tournament which brought together 16 teams to engage in exciting yet fun filled matches over its span, was played at the Cricket Ground, Jammu University. The winners of finals included Puri Warriors, Sargwal, Media Kings XI and Aircel B emerged as the winners.
The finals culminated with a gala prize distribution ceremony with the winner and runners-up teams being rewarded for the efforts on the field and their sportsmanship by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Circle Sales Head, Aircel.
