JAMMU, May 18: Arjunveer Singh, a Class 11 student of Air Force School Jammu, has brought laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by securing the prestigious Srijan internship with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), to be conducted at IISER Bhopal.
Arjunveer earned the internship after securing 2nd rank in the North Zone at the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) National Level Camp, held at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
More than 5 lakh students from across the country participated in the first regional round of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) held earlier this year. Of these, only the top 500 qualified for the final round held at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Arjunveer Singh clinched the 2nd rank in the North Zone to bag the prestigious Srijan internship.
The Srijan internship – a coveted opportunity for high-performing VVM – will provide Arjunveer chance to work alongside eminent researchers at premier national institutions.
Principal, Air Force School Jammu, congratulated Arjunveer, saying his achievement will inspire other students in J&K to pursue excellence in science and innovation.
