JAMMU, Dec 6: Air Force School Jammu celebrated its Annual Day ‘Sankalan 2018’ at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University, here today.
Air Commodore Shashi Kant Mishra, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Also present on the occasion were Nisha Mishra President AFWWA (L), Gp Capt SS Chettri, Executive Director Air Force School Jammu and other dignitaries.
The function began with the traditional lamp lighting followed by the Annual Report given by Shuchi Gupta, Principal Air Force School Jammu in which the achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities were highlighted.
This was followed by colourful cultural program by the students of Air Force School. The audience was enthralled by the traditional ghoomar dance, vibrant fan dance and scintillating Shiv Tandav.
The tabla performance held the audience captive. The little kids of kindergarten gave the message of One India by their ‘Unity in Diversity’ dance. A Marathi devotional group song sung by the students mesmerized the audience.
The peacock and peahens and women empowerment also found a place in the cultural programme by the ‘Udaan Dance’.
Speaking in his address, the chief guest congratulated the school for its achievements and praised the students for their hard efforts to put up a brilliant show.
The school also released its Annual Magazine ‘Pratibimb 2018’ on the occasion.
