JAMMU, Nov 1: Investiture Ceremony was conducted in the Air Force School to form the Student Council, here today.
Sunaina Chahar, Executive Director, Air Force School was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the welcome speech by Vikesh Sandhal, Principal Air Force School. He stressed that student council introduces the students to the democratic setup. Students of today are the visionaries of tomorrow.
A pleasing ceremony was held in the school campus where the council was given sashes and badges by the chief guest.
The Council took the pledge of commitment and dedication towards duty.
This was followed by the singing of the Air Force School Song composed by the music maestro A R Rehman.
In her address the chief guest stressed that student council not only leads the school but also contributes to the betterment of the school in every possible way. It is expected to uphold the values of the school. Dhivam Heer and Aakriti Sharma of class 12th were elected Head boy and Head girl respectively for the session 2014-15. Varun Jaideep and Pooja Choudhary were elected Sport Captains, while Savi Gandral and Shikhar Bal were elected Deputy Heads of the School.
